The Winners Netball Club would like to extend their appreciation to all those who participated in our recent netball tournament.  Teams that were present were as follows:-

The tournament started on time with the teams registering after which they were served with breakfast of ackee & saltfish , callaloo, fried dumplings and bread.  Hot beverages could be had from the complex's snack counter and Winners's Club provided special coconut water.

The National Anthem was played and the Commissioner of Coral Springs  Ted Mena gave the opening remarks and also declared the tournament opened.  The Mayor of coral Spring  Mr. J Brooks could not be in attendance but sent his regards and promised his continued support for this venture in the future.  He distinctly asked that Winners Club called on him at anytime for support.

Commissioner Claudette Bruck also spoke at the tournament.  Nearing the lunch period, she observed the games and was quite pleased with the competitiveness of the games.  She said the event was exuberant and overwhelming and promised to be a part of this for years to come.

After keen and careful scrutiny in the Dress Parade Competition, All Stars Netball Team came out the victors.  The Office of the Prime Minister was second and All Stars from Atlanta was third.

In the Shooting Competition Buzzers came out on top.  The competitor received a cash prize .

In the junior Division, Lauderhill's under fourteen (14) team was the winner with Winners Sports Club in second place.

The Most Discipline Team was also won by All Stars Netball Team.

In the Tri-Series with the male teams from New York and Antigua, Navigators came away triumphantly, winning all three games.  The games were very close as the Antiguans prove their gallantry in the games.  This was exciting and the spectators enjoyed the rivalry and excitement.

For the general competition, there were keen rivalries in the two zones.  From Zone A, Crusaders A and Tropical Nets came out on top and played in semi-final one (1) with Crusaders A emerging as the winner.  In Zone two (2) Upsetters and Lauderhill's Angels came out on top and played in semi-final two (2) with Upsetters emerging as the winner.  The finals was won by Upsetters after several minor injuries on the Crusader's team.
