with the teams registering

with breakfast of ackee &
saltfish , callaloo, fried
dumplings and bread. Hot
beverages could be had from
the complex's snack counter
and Winners's Club provided
special coconut water.
The National Anthem was
played and the Commissioner
of Coral Springs Ted Mena
gave the opening remarks and
also declared the tournament
opened. The Mayor of coral
Spring Mr. J Brooks could
not be in attendance but
sent his regards and
promised his continued
support for this venture in
the future. He distinctly
asked that Winners Club
called on him at anytime for
support.
Commissioner Claudette Bruck
also spoke at the
tournament. Nearing the
lunch period, she observed
the games and was quite
pleased with the
competitiveness of the
games. She said the event
was exuberant and
overwhelming and promised to
be a part of this for years
to come.
After keen and careful
scrutiny in the Dress Parade
Competition, All Stars
Netball Team came out the
victors. The Office of the
Prime Minister was second
and All Stars from Atlanta
was third.
In the Shooting Competition
Buzzers came out on top.
The competitor received a
cash prize .
In the junior Division,
Lauderhill's under fourteen
(14) team was the winner
with Winners Sports Club in
second place.
The Most Discipline Team was
also won by All Stars
Netball Team.
In the Tri-Series with the
male teams from New York and
Antigua, Navigators came
away triumphantly, winning
all three games. The games
were very close as the
Antiguans prove their
gallantry in the games.
This was exciting and the
spectators enjoyed the
rivalry and excitement.
For the general competition,
there were keen rivalries in
the two zones. From Zone A,
Crusaders A and Tropical
Nets came out on top and
played in semi-final one (1)
with Crusaders A emerging as
the winner. In Zone two (2)
Upsetters and Lauderhill's
Angels came out on top and
played in semi-final two (2)
with Upsetters emerging as
the winner. The finals was
won by Upsetters after
several minor injuries on
the Crusader's team.
The placement are as
follows:-
Upsetters (first) (New
York)
Crusaders A (second) (New
York)
Tropical Nets (third)
(Florida)
The President and CEO of the
